Growing up in Taiwan, Taipei, Albert struggled with traditional classroom learning and found it difficult to focus. However, attending an Art & Craft workshop at the age of 7 changed everything. It opened his mind to alternative ways of learning and improved his ability to express himself and communicate with others.
Later, while studying Architecture at the National University of Singapore, Albert realized that education in this field taught more than just technical skills. It also promoted independence, curiosity, and active change making. Working as an Architectural Executive at a local firm further inspired him to improve the way children learn, leading him to found BEEP Lab in 2018.
Since then, the team of BEEP Facilitators has been working to curate programs that empower young minds to explore design and architecture. Their mission is to advance holistic design education for children and youth and to develop confident, self-directed learners who can contribute to the community. Through various hands-on activities, they aim to engage children’s heads, hearts, and hands and empower them to become lifelong learners of their built, natural, and cultural environment.
